Located on the Donington Park Estate, our venue is set in a centuries-old barn, full of character. We’ve been hosting barn weddings since the 1980s—long before they became popular. The original timbers and rustic details create a setting with genuine history, perfect for couples seeking something authentic.
We’ve been hosting weddings since 1984, making us, we think, the UK’s first Barn Wedding Venue. Our 18th-century Threshing Barn retains all its original features, lending it plenty of character, and the old Pig Sties, now converted into a dining space, add historic charm.
The Threshing Barn is the heart of Donington Park Farmhouse—a striking, authentic wheat barn dating back to the 1720s. Originally used for the threshing process, where grain was separated from the chaff, this age-old tradition is what gives the barn its name.
Today, it’s our most popular ceremony space and also the setting for the evening knees-up. With its exposed brickwork, soaring beams, and plenty of rustic charm, it’s full of atmosphere from start to finish. The barn is equipped with an integrated sound system for your ceremony music, or, if you prefer, there’s plenty of room to bring in a live band or singer to get the celebrations started.
Nestled within the Barn complex, The Hitching Room is one of our beautiful ceremony spaces, filled with soft, natural light and full of charm. It’s an ideal setting for a smaller gathering, perfect for couples who want something a little more intimate without losing any character.
With cosy seating, traditional barrels to gather round, and a roaring log fire in the winter months, the bar has an abundance of charm. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the evening—fully stocked, fairly priced, and something for everyone. The bar stays open until midnight, with music carrying on until 12:30 am, so you can keep the party going well into the night.
You’ll have exclusive use of the Courtyard Garden—a stunning, self-contained sun-trap tucked within the heart of the venue. It’s a beautiful space which blooms year-round, perfect for mingling over drinks and canapés, or for adding a playful touch with a few lawn games. It also makes for a popular backdrop for post-ceremony confetti throws and those all-important candid photos.
Our dining room is situated within original pig sties that have been lovingly renovated to create a totally unique, quirky celebration space. Expect a dining experience like no other, seated within the red brickwork sty walls and antique troughs.
We take pride in our experienced team of in-house chefs, who are passionate about creating generous, locally sourced food that’s full of flavour. Your wedding breakfast is prepared in The Granary – our beautiful, open kitchen space filled with natural light.
